This past December, I had the pleasure of spending about 2 weeks in SMA with friends.
On my first full day, I was introduced to Joyce over a lovely breakfast. She learned very quickly about my desires and preferences.
From there she took me on a shopping adventure that was beyond anything one could imagine. Within a few hours, we had covered the sweetest boutiques, purchased a few signature pieces of clothing and jewelry, she showed me a great place to buy cowboy boots, and which shops were unique and good options for me. She also educated me, and provided me with tools so that I could go back to these shops on my own.
With her connection to these places, I was also given special preferences. When I went to the Artisan Market, she had also provided me with some good tips to make sure I was shopping wisely. Additionally, she identified some of the better touring adventures, hot springs, and restaurants to check out.
It’s hard to put into words how empowered I felt on my first visit to SMA, as a tourist.
